Sydney offers a vast amount of fine dining restaurants throughout the lively city, however, experiencing the Sydney Harbour by night on a two and a half hour Captains Dinner on board a Sydney Dinner Cruise was a beautiful way to spend a night with prestigious views of the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the city skyline.

As we watched the impressive Sydney 2000 cruise ship which was all lit up, sail into Circular Quay with the Harbour Bridge backdrop, we were in awe. Not expecting such a large cruise, we soon became all very excited for the night ahead of us.

Welcomed by the crew and directed to our tables, the layout and ambience was extremely impressive and was made all the better when we found our table right alongside the window at the front of the ship. As we embarked on our evening cruise and sailed beneath the harbour bridge with sights of the opera house along the side of the ship, we were invited to a complimentary drink to begin the evening.

A menu full of mouth-watering plates made for a tough decision to be made, however, we were most certainly not disappointed with our choices for any of the three courses. Accompanied with our meals, we both chose to enjoy a glass of Australian wine which was fitting for the occasion when sailing through Australia’s most famous harbour and iconic city. As we indulged in our three course meals, the ambience was nothing short of perfect having the ideal instrumental music played in the background as the cruise sailed along the calm waters out towards Vaucluse.
