glamping
Our first Glamping experience! (Sydney)

Do you enjoy camping and the countryside? However, have you ever wished for a bit more luxury whilst seeking outdoor recreation? If your answer is yes then Glamping might be the perfect style of camping for you! Whilst ‘traditional’ camping is all well and good, at times some luxuries from home may add a nice touch and allows for a little more comfort providing a more enjoyable experience.
We decided to have our first go at it with Nomadic Belle, a company set up in Sydney which pitch their beautiful, top quality tents in any location of your choice within 300km, whether it be in your back garden, a paid campground or National Park. Offering a range of varying sized tents all can house a double height queen sized airbed accompanied with two side tables, a wicker storage chest, rug and ambient lighting. Outdoor chairs and a picnic blanket is also provided in order to relax outside. Everything you need for your stay is provided; linens, bath towels, bottled water and even a complimentary bottle of wine to welcome you upon your arrival. Extras can also be purchased such as gas stoves, BBQ and kitchenware.

Wanting somewhere away from the larger Sydney suburbs but at the same time not too far from home, we chose to spend the weekend at Cattai National Park. A 50 minute Friday afternoon drive meant we arrived early evening to a beautifully pitched tent located beside the river providing the perfect setup. The favourable autumn weather made our experience that bit more enjoyable, with warm sunny days and temperatures dropping during the night. The tent was unconventionally but pleasantly spacious and therefore made walking around and standing upright possible, which is not usually the case with ordinary camping! We absolutely loved all the extra space!
We had planned to visit Blue Mountains again considering it was near enough but we favoured staying by the tent making the most of the tranquillity and natural setting around us.
